3-day CAMEO Suite training class to be held in Adams County

Colorado DFPC,  Adams County OEM, and Commerce City OEM are co-hosting a HMEP Course Flyer 2017 – CAMEO.  Training will be provided on the software suite consisting of CAMEOfm, CAMEO Chemical, MARPLOT, and Aloha.  The class will be taught by Tom Bergman from the Oklahoma DEQ, who has taught this class for over 20+ years.  It will be held at the Adams County Government Center, 4430 S. Adams County Parkway, Brighton, CO in the Brantner Gulch “A” conference room on Tuesday, June 20th, through Thursday, June 22nd, 2017.  Please share this within your agencies.

 

CAMEO is a system of software applications used to plan for and respond to all-hazard emergency events. Developed by EPA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to assist emergency planners and responders manage and utilize information before, during, and after such events. CAMEO can access, store, and evaluate information critical without need of Internet or Cloud access. This class will provide instruction on utilizing CAMEO for a wide variety of information management, including EPCRA Tier 2 reports, chemical spills, wildfires, search & rescue, floods, severe weather, floodplain management, shelters & critical infrastructure, sensitive populations, and others.

 

Class is limited to 20 Students.  Students must bring a laptop with all 4 modules of the CAMEO Suite software installedfrom https://www.epa.gov/cameo/cameo-software (or have admin privileges on their computer to download the software in class).  Please make sure that you have the most up-to-date versions installed, as this is critical.
