    Hazardous Materials Technicians are personnel who respond to the
    release of hazardous materials with the purpose of stopping the release
    and reducing losses. The goal of this 80-hour course is to bring personnel
    to the NFPA 472 Hazardous Materials First Responder Technician Training
    Level and will include JPRs required by the State of Colorado and the
    Colorado Metropolitan Certification Board. Upon successful completion
    of the course, students will be eligible to complete certification testing
    requirements for either the Division of Fire Prevention and Control or
    CMCB certification.

    Included will be tactical response information and skills assessments
    encompassing:

    • Respiratory Protection
